The Opportunity:

The Portfolio Evaluation Group (PEG) is part of the Portfolio Management Group (PMG). PMG focuses on decisions that impact client portfolios—from recommended allocation and strategy to security selection and trade execution. PEG includes Analysts and Associates and serves as PMG’s advice engine, providing direction and education to support our clients’ long-term financial success.

This role offers broad exposure to core finance theory, FI’s client-focused recommendation process, the firm’s portfolio management philosophies, and financial planning tools (including Monte Carlo analysis). You will build skills through training and collaboration with senior team members and gain exposure to other PMG functions as well as Client Services and Sales.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Prepare a range of written proposals using information gathered by internal teams and the Portfolio Evaluation Group
  • Analyze prospective client portfolios for Sales and outside holdings for Client Services and Client Development
  • Generate Morningstar reports to assist Sales in analyzing client or prospective client outside portfolios
  • Use MS Word, MS Excel, Salesforce, and Suit Wiz to construct proposals to client specifications
  • Evaluate deliverable content and processes to ensure analyses meet regulatory requirements
  • Complete ad hoc projects that evolve deliverables with business needs while maintaining compliance

Your Qualifications:

  • Have an analytical, solution-oriented mindset when working with internal and external clients
  • Enjoy regular interaction with Client Services and Sales and collaboration with teams across PMG and the firm (e.g., Content, IT, LCD)
  • Are excited to contribute to projects that help PEG evolve with the firm’s long-term objectives
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understand the firm’s internal structure at a basic level and want to learn its investment philosophy and strategies

We will conduct a preliminary screen of applicants based on qualifications, performance and manager feedback. Those who meet the hiring manager’s requirements will be moved forward in the process by participating in an interview. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to get in touch with Frank Lynch (FL) or Nancy Pakbaz (TX).
