The Opportunity:
The Trading TL leads a high performing team across two primary roles – Traders (trade execution) and Trading Operations (allocations and global settlement). The trading team handles trades across all business units and strategies from micro-to-mega capitalization securities across 60+ global markets.
As the Trading TL you will develop leadership, strategic planning and project management skills through developing employees, helping the team navigate one-off issues, influencing the team’s strategic direction, mitigating risk, and collaborating with managers and departments at all levels across the firm, including IPC members.
Deep institutional trading and post trade experience is not required for consideration. Upon starting you will go through initial onboarding curriculum to understand the roles, workflows and trade execution.
The Day-to-Day:
- Hire and develop talent, ensuring the team’s responsibilities are met now and in the future
- Drive team engagement through career and skill development
- Develop and manage team goals and those of your direct reports
- Works closely with heads of other PMG and Investment Solutions teams as well as senior levels of management across the firm
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures, and develop new policies as needed
- Understand the regulatory environment and risk awareness
- Position the team as a resource for other groups
Your Qualifications:
- Demonstrate a high degree of intellectual curiosity, especially in relation to capital markets
- Experience in a leadership role (previous TL experience preferred) and enjoy coaching, mentoring and developing others
- Excellent risk awareness and problem solving skills
- Shine as a leader who advocates and educates in developing others to challenge and evolve the team to scale with firm growth
- 5+ Years of FI experience
Compensation:
$110,000 - $140,000 base salary per year in the state of CA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
