The Opportunity:

The Portfolio Engineering Services Analyst is responsible for overseeing, managing and communicating Portfolio Engineering (PE) deliverables for internal and external clients including senior firm management and key institutional clients. This includes managing and improving workflows and processes, reviewing FIIG client documents (ex. IMAs, client guidelines) and centrally managing a repository of PE information. The Portfolio Engineering Services Analyst role is highly impactful and this person will work closely with the Portfolio Engineers, PMG & FIIG management and the IPC.

As a Portfolio Engineering Services Analyst you'll own PE’s outbound communications and deliverables and develop critical portfolio expertise across PE strategy groups. In your first year you'll gain an understanding of our investment process including research, trading and operations and develop solid data handling and communication skills. You’ll participate in PE/IPC discussions, often centering on portfolio shifts and rebalances. As a Portfolio Engineering Services Analyst, you’ll be responsible for distilling key IPC views into both proactive and ad hoc client-facing materials. As the singular owner of outbound communications, you’ll work closely with PEs and Senior PEs to understand portfolio positioning, performance and outlook to generate deliverables and proactive content. Uniquely within PE, you’ll develop strategy expertise spanning PE Strategy groups. This highly impactful role requires comfort with a high level of visibility (IPC, Sr. FI mgmt.) and the ability to successfully manage ambiguity and nuances.

Additionally, as a successful Portfolio Engineering Services Analyst, you will take what you've learned about our investment views and philosophy and positively help our clients.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Understand and communicate the IPC's strategic country, sector, and stock-specific views across strategies and their corresponding client accounts
  • Manage ad hoc, recurring and proactive PE communications, including close collaboration with Research analyst and PE peers
  • Design and improve workstreams and processes, driving internal service needs. Identify areas of improvement to boost PE efficiency
  • Gain and maintain a strong understanding of investment philosophy, investment concepts and Research views. Demonstrate strong portfolio/market knowledge via successful internal and external client communication
  • Participate in client and prospect meetings, create meeting materials, and support new strategy development

Your Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and FI investment philosophy and have a strong desire to further develop investment decision-making knowledge
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external clients
  • Successfully manage operational processes under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Are highly accountable, proactive, and possess a growth mindset
  • Excel in collaborative, feedback-driven environments and take on an entrepreneurial spirit with passion for achieving excellent results
  • Three years previous PMG or investment experience is preferred but not required to apply

We will conduct a preliminary screen of applicants based on qualifications, performance and manager feedback. Those who meet the hiring manager’s requirements will be moved forward in the process by participating in an interview.
