Openings available for Cloud Engineer - Azure at Fisher Asset Management, LLC d/b/a Fisher Investments in Plano, Texas: Deploy enterprise scaled resources that can be leveraged across technology organizations. Deploy scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using automation tooling for routine operation tasks. Support the implementation and ongoing operation of cloud services following approved designs, adherence to patterns, security requirements and certifies all logging and monitoring are active for security and compliance. Use automation, configuration management and deployment tools to manage production environment, ensuring standardization and adherence to established controls and patterns. Work with solution architects and partners to confirm developed solutions align with existing standards, meet security controls and meet cloud computing best practices. Enhance existing deployment processes and Infrastructure as Code scripts to improve automation, efficiency, consistency and adherence to security and audit requirements and control. Maintain comprehensive and systematic configuration, lifecycle and security management of servers. Ensure cloud services and toolsets are deployed leveraging best practices and documentation. Act as the first point of contact to business application owners and building bridge between them and cloud team. Foster the adoption of Cloud environment and deployments. Work with other Cloud engineers and Architects, application and business owners to deploy and improve the cloud environment. Act as the first point of contact for application and business owners. Implement or suggest strategies in IaC, CI/CD for leveraging faster and secure deployments. Escalate unresolved issues accordingly. Collaborate with engineers, providing assistance, guidance and training as required. Participate in team activities such as daily standups, peer code reviews, design collaboration efforts and rotating on-call process. Able to provide international and 24/7 support via on-call duties and/or working a flexible offhours schedule for planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in management information systems, computer science, engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience deploying resources and managing infrastructure through both manual and automated pipelines in an IT infrastructure and operational environment.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated.
- Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
o maintaining resources in cross platform environments;
o performing cloud deployments in Azure using IaC;
o deploying resources using Terraform;
o building, deploying and managing public cloud IaaS and PaaS services;
o building automated cloud infrastructure across multiple Production and Non-Production environments;
o and scripting and automating builds, workflows, tasks and other integration aspects. - Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
o using GitHub and GitHub Actions;
o using the CI/CD pipelines;
o using YAML/YML for GitHub actions;
o using Azure CLI;
o troubleshooting Azure Cloud environment;
o using PowerShell;
o automating deployments;
o and working in Enterprise applications development. - Must have 1 year of experience working with at least 3 of the following: DNS, LAN, WAN, Firewalls, File systems, or IAM.
- Position reports to Plano, TX office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
- Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
We are offering a salary of $142,500 to $158,000 per year. Employees new to the role should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience. Employees will continue to be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
