The Opportunity:

The European Investment Counsellor group is looking for its next Investment Counsellor Team Leader for our Dublin office! The wider European IC group includes ICs who service FII, FIL, & FIG clients throughout Europe. Our European group is evolving in many exciting ways, leading to development opportunities unique to our group.

As an Investment Counsellor Team Leader, you'll lead a team of ICs based in Dublin, recognise their successes, help improve processes, and ensure direction, alignment and commitment at the team and group level. You'll hone a wide variety of leadership skills including communication, assessing and developing talent, managing up, pushing decision-making down, and organisational development. IC TLs are evaluated on their team's core metrics, in addition to qualitative items like attitude, human capital development, problem solving, organizational development, and team motivation and feedback.


The Day-to-Day:

  • Oversee the development and performance of a team of European ICs to ensure we're providing unparalleled service
  • Participate in the hiring and evaluation of ICs
  • Oversees training of new ICs
  • Directly interacts with a team member’s clients on a case-by-case basis
  • Be a resource, answering questions and providing guidance to team members
  • Maintain a baseline of compliance with all applicable policies and procedures
  • Guarantee client servicing guidelines are met through oversight, guidance and monitoring reports
  • Participates in the client evaluation process
  • Develops an understanding of all European business and financial related characteristics relevant to servicing European-based clients

Your Qualifications:

  • Possess leadership qualities as defined by our competencies, regardless of previous title and role.
  • Previous management experience a plus, but not required
  • You are engaging and can connect with a wide variety of audiences, including multiple levels of management and both internal and external partners
  • Strong communication skills in all mediums (i.e. phone, virtual, written & in person)
  • Able to effectively write reports and business correspondence
  • Are passionate about developing human capital
  • Demonstrate extensive capital market knowledge
  • Strong orientation towards client service and client facing interaction & responsibilities

Please note that the hiring manager will only be considering applications from individuals currently employed in the FIE, FII, and FIL entities.
