The Opportunity:

Are you looking to dive into the world of operations, while giving our internal clients unparalleled service? Quality Control (QC) may be the spot for you! There are a lot of teams and processes throughout FI, and they don't always fit together seamlessly. QC is here to make sure all the pieces fit together and proper action is taken when they don’t. Our focus is on identifying and elevating inconsistencies so we can protect both the client and firm through a process called Clearance. Our role is a unique blend of understanding the big picture and diving into the details!

QC Associates review accounts for all of our US Clients. Our work is fast paced and dynamic, seeking to ensure every client has the proper system set up and documentation so that we can begin building out the portfolio and trading properly. We work with multiple groups across the firm on a daily basis to guarantee an accurate and efficient process.

In this role you will work quickly to identify issues, deviations from standard procedure, and potential client impact. You’ll seek to understand the big picture and dive into the details, serving as the last line of defense in protecting the client and the firm. Your strong attention to detail, ability to own your role, and desire to work with and contribute to a team will allow you to thrive. You’ll hone your communication skills, communicating frequently with TLs and GVPs across different groups, gain valuable insight into multiple groups throughout the firm, and have the opportunity to build your professional brand.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Ensure that documents match FI standards and meet client needs in order to begin trading in a new account or new relationship
  • Work closely with more than a half dozen internal groups to solve complex problems
  • Confirm that all policies and procedures are being closely adhered to
  • Elevating to and collaborating with various levels of management to resolve issues that could pose a risk to the client and or FI

Your Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail
  • Have strong communication skills and are comfortable working with a variety of partners across multiple groups
  • Organized and efficient, with the ability to work with complexity and ambiguity
  • Focused on providing exceptional customer service to internal clients while increasing efficiency in our processes
  • Are eager to leverage your existing knowledge to improve our collective team performance
  • Want to build your understanding of risk and risk-management strategies
  • Maintain a positive mindset in an evolving environment

Compensation:

  • $55,000 - $75,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance

We will conduct a preliminary screen of applicants based on qualifications, performance and manager feedback. Those who meet the hiring manager’s requirements will be moved forward in the process by participating in an interview. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to get in touch with Melissa Hyatt.
