The Portfolio Analytics and Reporting Associate (PAR) tracks the performance of accounts and strategies and communicates related analytics and data to external clients and internal customers such as Institutional, PCS, Content, Research/IPC, LCD, Finance and CRT, to name a few. In addition to recurring reporting, PAR handles ad hoc requests for data; these requests help sales close new business, FIIG RMs respond to client questions, IRT hosts service existing clients, ICs fight off term threats, IPC members track performance, and more.

As a PAR Associate, you will directly affect the success of the firm through the generation of contractual recurring reporting and the completion of ad hoc research requests. You will learn hard skills such as Excel, SQL, knowledge of firm data, project management, troubleshooting, and soft-skill competencies, such as solving complex problems (manages complexity). You will also learn all the ins and outs of portfolio performance measurement. Your performance is evaluated on your ability to accurately complete assignments by the due date, autonomously manage assigned responsibilities, and add value beyond the daily in the form of projects.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Pull portfolio data, calculate returns, and create reporting on an ad hoc basis to fulfill requests from ICs, Sales, FIIG, and more
  • Create and quality control recurring reporting for delivery to our clients
  • Autonomously handle rotating team responsibilities such as classifying securities by country and sector, coordinating the generation and delivery of monthly/quarterly statements, calculating quarterly strategy-level returns, etc.
  • Understand and explain performance, performance attribution and risk statistics to internal customers

Your Qualifications:

  • Are analytical - qualitatively and/or quantitatively
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Prioritize your work well
  • Communicate well
  • Have intellectual curiosity
  • Are results focused and exhibit strong professional composure

Compensation:

  • $55,000 - $75,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. Employees new to the role should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
  • Employees will continue to be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.

We will conduct a preliminary screen of applicants based on qualifications, performance and manager feedback. Those who meet the hiring manager’s requirements will be moved forward in the process by participating in an interview. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to get in touch with Peter Stull.
