The Opportunity:

Performance Analysts are the investment performance subject matter experts for PMG and the Investment Operations group. As an Analyst, you lead impactful firm-wide projects and handle challenging ad hoc requests from various business units in support of our clients and the broader firm. Our Analysts also provide guidance to the PAR Associate team and all the teams we support for portfolio performance measurement and calculation questions. This is also a great opportunity to be a part of supporting the future state of the firm’s performance calculation and client reporting capabilities as PMG goes through a broad technology modernization effort.

Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to handle the most ambiguous and complex requests, prioritize your work appropriately, propose/successfully implement impactful projects, and provide mentorship to our Associate team.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Autonomously complete assigned responsibilities on time, learning all team responsibilities
  • Identify and implement impactful projects in response to requirements, to increase efficiency or reduce risk (or all three)
  • Identify correct resources to pull accurate data, calculate returns and create reporting on an ad hoc basis for our most ambiguous requests from all business units, LCD, PMG management and the IPC
  • Be a trusted subject-matter expert for performance measurements and calculations
  • Pass level 1 of the Certificate in Investment Performance Exam
    • Enrollment sponsored by PI and incentives provided for passing Level 1/moving on to Level II and getting certificate

Your Qualifications:

  • Are good at troubleshooting issues across teams upstream and downstream from your stated job functions
  • Are risk-aware and able to intuitively elevate potential risks to the firm
  • Have attention to detail
  • Are able to learn from setbacks to work toward improvement
  • Exhibit professional composure when dealing with other business units/executives
  • Manage complexity while exhibiting curiosity
  • Communicate well
  • Want to be a part of the future of the firm’s reporting/data structure

Compensation:

  • $80,000 - $110,000 base salary per year for employees in the state of WA. Employees new to the role should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
  • Employees will continue to be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance. For any questions, please reach out to the hiring manager.

We will conduct a preliminary screen of applicants based on qualifications, performance and manager feedback. Those who meet the hiring manager’s requirements will be moved forward in the process by participating in an interview. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to get in touch with Justin Hestekin.
