The Opportunity:
As IT Program Manager, you will report to the Vice President of End User Support and will be responsible for execution of various projects, and programs in the Technology group. You will plan and finalize projects according to deadlines. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver a scalable operation to support department activities. You will also define program objectives and oversee quality control throughout the program life cycle.
The Day-to-Day:
- Manage all phases of technology programs from envisioning through deployment to ensure components are completed efficiently and meet the business user's requirements. Programs can be multi-year, multi-million-dollar efforts involving replacement of core business systems and impact multiple business units
- Define technology program roadmaps, scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Proactively identify and manage program dependencies and critical path including component projects and initiatives and devises contingency plans
- Assess requirements to deliver program needs including implementation of solutions across infrastructure, development, security, and associated business teams. Work with affected department managers to identify program participants and roles
- Establish and maintain program timelines and budgets
- Evaluate impact of new situations and proposed modifications, including severity and likelihood of outcomes on budgets and timelines. Proactively highlight and manage program dependencies, risks, and critical path by identifying potential crises and devising contingency and mitigation plans
- Work with managers in Business and Technology teams to keep roadmaps up-to-date
- Coordinate all departments related to the program which may include IT, Finance, third-party Vendors, and business users
- Develop best practices and tools for program execution and management
- Work with user groups and IT to develop and provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes
Your Qualifications:
- 7+ years of project management or team leadership experience
- Experience in JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or Project Portfolio Management tools
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, internal clients, and other departments
- Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with management staff, employees, clients, and consultants
- Strong familiarity with change management and creative, independent problem solving
- Demonstrated strengths in organization, creative thinking and attention to detail
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Compensation:
- $95,000 - $130,000 base salary per year in the state of WA - New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
