This is an opportunity to co-lead the Securities Analysis team alongside Philip Lee, current Securities Analysis TL. In Research, co-leadership means you and your co-TL manage the team collectively, leveraging each other strengths. The Securities team collaborates with Capital Markets Research Team, Capital Markets Innovation Team, and Portfolio Engineers to translate macro investment themes into appropriate stock/industry/cross-sector buy and sell recommendations. You would support the team through providing direction to drive results and increasing engagement to continue improving the team’s output for the Investment Policy Committee (Ken Fisher, Jeff Silk, Bill Glaser, Aaron Anderson and Michael Hanson) and our clients.

Research Managers gain experience with executive audiences, lead strategic projects and develop their employees.  A thoughtful focus on developing talent while increasing the quality of actionable insights for portfolios are keys to success managing this team.  You'll collaborate with motivated managerial peers who share a passion for learning and provide support to Research members at all levels across the Research community.  We're building a vision enabling us to grow our business more effectively – this is your opportunity to be part of that vision.

The Securities Team drives portfolio outperformance through timely and impactful coverage of stock holdings across firm strategies and industry/thematic research for the IPC. Analysts cover specific industries and learn about trends in their space.  Securities Analysts also play a critical role in educating private and institutional clients and prospects via in-person events and meetings as well as publishing externally facing content like MarketMinder articles and Institutional white papers.  

The Day-to-Day:

• Develop human capital across a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences

• Oversight over a myriad of complex and time sensitive deliverables and requests, ensuring on-time delivery of requested information while managing the inherent ambiguity
• Create an environment that encourages employee engagement, recognition and talent development
• Proactively and consistently coach Analysts to provide concise, actionable research to the Investment Policy Committee to drive portfolio outperformance and service our internal and external clients

Your Qualifications:

• Have experience in a leadership role or experience coaching others to success

• Are motivated to drive results for your team, firm and yourself
• Create a long-term vision for executing strategic initiatives
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all internal clients, including members of Senior Management, and can teach others to do the same
• Understand our investment philosophy and have a desire to grow even more in that space
• Securities Analyst or similar experience is a plus, but not required
