Portfolio Engineering supports the IPC in managing over $320 billion in assets. We provide insights, data and analytics to organize and execute investment decisions and oversee day-to-day operations of model portfolios and accounts. The team ensures the IPC's strategic views are implemented across portfolios, develops and produces insightful and actionable reporting and analysis, facilitates Institutional client cash flow and account needs, and monitors guidelines. Portfolio Engineering identifies areas of opportunity and risk through ongoing dialogue with the IPC and Research.
As a Portfolio Engineering Operations Analyst you'll support the IPC in making investment decisions across all strategies, helping them manage against a variety of benchmarks and mandates. In your first year you'll gain an understanding of our investment process including research, trading and operations and develop solid data handling. It's likely you'll coordinate a strategy re-balance, maintain and develop portfolio construction tools, and lead an impactful project from beginning to end. As a successful Portfolio Engineering Operations Analyst, you will be able to take what you've learned about our investment views and philosophy and positively help our clients.
The Day-to-Day:
- Ensure IPC's strategic country, sector, and stock-specific views are reflected across strategies and their corresponding client accounts
- Manage the re-balance process of IPC directed portfolio changes alongside Research, Implementation, Client Guidelines, and Trading
- Build quantitative investment tools to help manage portfolios
- Create reporting and analysis to evaluate portfolio performance, attribution, positioning, trade impact and a variety of other portfolio management concepts
- Lead impactful projects with the IPC, Research, and other Investment Solutions teams applying your investment knowledge
Your Qualifications:
- Have a solid foundation of FI investment philosophy knowledge and have a strong desire to further your understanding of how we manage money
- Enjoy looking at complex issues from multiple angles
- Love to learn and can make use of new principles when addressing problems, experiments to find the best possible solution and gains insight from test cases
- Have a positive mindset, entrepreneurial spirit and are passionate about achieving excellent results while contributing to group-wide goals
Compensation:
- $80,000 - $115,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
