The Opportunity:
PMG offers the unique chance to impact Fisher’s product, work with inspiring people, the opportunity to innovate and realize your career potential.
Are you interested in having an impact on clients and our teams around the globe? Portfolio Accounting makes sure our client portfolio information is up-to-date and accurate. This ensures that Fisher is implementing and reporting on client accounts accurately, and is core for the business to function. Without the dedicated work of PA, many groups could not perform their daily tasks to guarantee that our clients are receiving the best service possible.
As a PA Associate you will work with our custodians all over the globe and other teams such as Implementation, Trading Operations, Quality Control and Client Services to validate client holdings, cash balances and transactions are accurate and ready to trade. In doing so, you will apply business logic to ensure the accuracy of information, allowing Portfolio Engineering and Trading to swiftly implement the IPC's strategy as we report performance, and bill each client account. You will oversee the process of reconciling all accounts with assigned responsibilities and providing support to teams across the firm. Portfolio Accounting is always working on projects to gain efficiency for the team and our internal clients. Whether it's adapting database infrastructure to accommodate the newest custodian with its unique file structure, helping with expansion efforts, assisting in firm modernization projects, automating a manual task or building an audit to reduce the risk of a workflow, you will leave your mark on the team.
The Day-to-Day:
- Apply business logic to reconcile FIN holdings, cash balances and transactions with custodial information for US PCG, PCGI, FIIG and 401k client accounts
- Monitor client accounts for unexpected or potentially fraudulent activity and work with Client Services to validate
- Understand downstream impacts on different teams of posting transactions to FIN to avoid unforeseen negative impacts on trading, billing and performance measurement
- Help maintain normalization logic in internal custodian data repository to read custodian files
- Use Access, VBA (Learn on the job!), and other analytics tools along with project management skills to build efficiencies into the team's workflows, pushing the team towards its desired end state of automating reconciliation
Your Qualifications:
- Have interest in data and analytics
- Have a passion for solving complex puzzles
- Want to discover the "why" behind our business processes
- Have an internal desire to improve the team, the business and yourself
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and have a strong attention to detail
Compensation:
- $55,000 - $70,000 base salary per year for employees in the state of WA. Employees new to the role should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
- Employees will continue to be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
We will conduct a preliminary screen of applicants based on qualifications, performance and manager feedback. Those who meet the hiring manager’s requirements will be moved forward in the process by participating in an interview. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to get in touch with Samantha Kirby or Briana Powell.
