The Opportunity:
The Data Analytics Team at Fisher Investments is looking for an accomplished Data Visualization Associate to help solve complex problems. We are looking for someone with a desire to learn analytical techniques, while looking past the numbers to tell a compelling story. Our team tackles complex questions by using data to improve the understanding of the state of our business. Reporting to the Data Analytics Manager, you will partner with business leaders to understand the business landscape and help senior leaders be able to make data driven decisions.
The Day-to-Day:
- Maintain reoccurring reporting for the US Private Client Group (PCG) by using Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and PowerBI
- Aggregate complex ideas into easy-to-understand high-level overviews
- Build relationships across all US PCG VPs to understand data visualization needs for presentations and one-off projects
- Proficiently use data in graphs and charts to visualize business critical information
- Create versatile objects, vectors, and graphics from broad concepts to match and amplify information by using Adobe Illustrator
- Create complex animations for graphics, designs, and texts in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Aide in the design of complex Excel workbooks and PowerBI dashboards
Your Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience translating data sets into relevant insights through novel presentation formats
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to VP level management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across projects
- Proven aptitude in managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of working independently with little oversight
- Professional level PowerPoint skills
- Advanced experience with Excel, specifically with creating pivot tables and slicers that are connected to charts and graphs
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
- Experience with SQL and/or PowerBI is a plus
Compensation:
- $55,000 - $70,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
