The Opportunity:
The Competitive Resources team exists to support US PCG Sales and Service organizations in better understanding the competitive landscape Fisher operates in. Our group conducts research on firms and representatives, tracks industry trends, and serves as internal experts to the firm as it works to better the investment universe.
As a Competitive Resources Associate, you will exercise your natural curiosity, problem-solving, and analytical skills to conduct daily intelligence research. You'll assist PCG Sales and Service to gain and retain AUM, and build content and presentations to educate our internal clients. As a CR Associate, you will develop an in-depth understanding of the financial services industry that few in our organization have—preparing you for future opportunities across FI.
The Day-to-Day:
- Conducting the challenging and often ambiguous research efforts that translate into clear, succinct intelligence reports used in live competitive opportunities
- Handling incoming requests, from initial research to working with our Analysts, to communicate our findings to ICs, OSPs, and others across the firm
- Creating new written content on competitors, trends, and products and building training presentations for both small and large format trainings across the firm
- Supporting multiple PCG initiatives aimed at deepening our engagement with the businesses we support
Your Qualifications:
- You are an organized go-getter who wants to make an impact in the work that they do
- You're a solution seeker who is comfortable with ambiguity
- You want to develop your qualitative and quantitative analysis skills by researching our industry and the firms that compete within it
- You're creative when it comes to finding new ways to benefit the business
- You have a clear communication style that can breakdown complicated topics into concise written summaries and conversations
- You wish to deepen your knowledge of the financial services industry's inner workings
Compensation:
- $55,000 - $75,000 base salary per year for employees in the state of WA. Employees new to the role should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
- Employees will continue to be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
We will conduct a preliminary screen of applicants based on qualifications, performance and manager feedback. Those who meet the hiring manager’s requirements will be moved forward in the process by participating in an interview. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to get in touch with Rutger Thieme.
